In the late sixties Mark Allan, Ken
and Milana's son, revealed a natural talent for cinematography and
began to shoot, write and direct. For ten years father and son produced
films for news broadcast, corporations, sports and education.
Mark shoots Spring
Training in Arizona for Major League Baseball Productions.
The early 1980's established videotape
as the new standard in television news and magazine show productions.
Essanay grew with the technology and hired a producer, Susan Giacomini,
from ABC-TV in San Francisco.

Projects branched out into a variety

wide range of broadcast, corporate and educational film clients.
“Susan Giacomini and Mark
Allan with Fr. Lawrence Jenco, the subject of their PBS documentary, “A
Conversation with Father Jenco.” Jenco was taken hostage in
Lebanon in 1985 and had recently been released as part of the “arms for
